The Calgary Cerebral Palsy Association was formed on June 13th, 1951 by a group of parents, each of whom was dealing with a similar, yet somewhat varied disability of their children who had not yet received any diagnoses. It was some time later that Canadian doctors, finally learned to recognize the traits of Cerebral Palsy. It was shortly after this, that the Calgary Cerebral Palsy Association saw the need to start some sort of treatment and support program for individuals with Cerebral Palsy.
A CP Clinic was opened in 1956 and was in operation until 1972 when it moved into Gordon Townsend School at the Alberta Children's Hospital. We also have a library within the school, run by the Family Resource Center.

NEW OFFICE LOCATION
The Calgary Cerebral Palsy Association will be relocating to their permanent office located at
# 120 7015 Macloed Trail. SE T2H 2K6 effective September 5th. Our phone and fax numbers will remian the same. Our Parent Support Groups and Informational Evenings will now be held in this location. We will be having an open house in September. Watch your mailboxes for your more information.
